Celebrating Bishop anew 2
This drawing highlights one of Bishop's greatest talents: his ability to tell a story in a single picture. In one image, he is able to capture a chain of events you can immediately see happening in your mind's eye!
You know that as that rope is pulled up, her legs will go back, and she will probably topple over on her stomach, one step closer to being hogtied. It is almost like a still picture from a movie, a part of a larger scene.

A long time ago, in one of my Workfloor pages, I complained that, as an artist, I had to deal with the fact that bondage opposes action (apart from the struggle to get free, of course). That limits you if you want to make a dynamic comic strip, for instance. And the way Bishop solves that problem here is just magnificent.
The icing on the cake is the contrast in the faces. The calm confidence on his face, and her incredulity, as she can barely keep up with what is happening.
Wonderful stuff.

Sunny afternoon

Welcome back! There are two updates in New this time, and there are updates in the Sketchpage, in Black and White and in the Combi's. There are three new Gifs and under New there's also a New story, Sunny Afternoon. Not an outright bondage story maybe, but there is still a form of self-inflicted restraint in it. Go check it out! Until next time!

Re-visiting Bishop
06-14-2024
Welcome back!
We have updates in New, Black and White, the Sketch page and the Combi-page. Thee are also three new Gifs, and there is a new short story under New. Furthermore we have decided to bring back an old feature: Celebrating Bishop.
Hi everyone! Even though Robert Bishop passed away over thirty years ago, he still remains a huge influence on me and my work, and I have decided that I'm not done singing his praise! So after a couple of years, we're picking up with Celebrating Bishop anew!
