Comics complications
05-01-2017
Hello everyone; welcome back! We try things in life, and don't always succeed. When we started this site anew, some two and a half years ago, we thought it would be nice to have a section under New, in which we would present brand new comics, updating them one page at the time. And so I started creating Amazon Army, and later IDTSMD. Unfortunately, neither of those ever came to flourish. Partly because comic pages take a lot more time to make than single pics, and therefor they slow down the updating process. But there are also two more problems with this formula. First of all, I find it difficult to come up with these long story arcs. I'm primarily an artist, not a writer and frankly, I'm just making these up as I go along, and the well frequently runs dry, to my dismay. But secondly, by these larger stories, you can't escape the fact that from time to time you are forced to present some non bondage driven pages, just for the development of the narrative, for character building etc. Now, if a full blown album comes out, you just take these pages for granted, just reading on. But with this formula, you, the members will have to wait for a long time for a new page to show up and when it finally does, it turns out to be a disappointment.
Taking all of this in consideration, we have decided to pull these two comics. They maybe completed in the future, and come out as complete albums, but that will happen behind the scenes from now on.
However: I'm not ready to give up on the comic formula. What I'm going to try is this: I'm returning to a format I use to do quite a bit in the old days: the Short Comic (In this case maybe even the Ultra Short Comic). These stories will be updated one or two pages at the time, and they will be only four to six pages long. This will solve the problem of the intricacy of the longer arcs, and remove the necessity of the 'driving the story' pages, as these will be more of a sort of one scene stories, with no need for development. This way, I hope to bring this section to life once more, and hopefully more fruitfully. You can find the first two pages under New: we're revisiting an old villain, the Family
Hijacker, now renamed as the Home Invader. Have fun!

Updates in New, the Sketch page, the Combi page and the GIFS. And as mentioned in our new Short Comics section under New!
Until next time,
