Celebrating Bishop 26

Although this isn't one of his most well drawn, more sophisticated works, I still want to include it in this list. The reason I like it so much lies in the brilliance of the design. It is from the Fanni Hall series, and you have to read the accompanying text to learn that the woman is actually resting on a dildo, attached to the upright pole.
And herein lies the genius of the design: the upright isn't really an upright! Because it leans forward in an angle, it is actually her own body weight that keeps her anchored on the dildo. There is no way she can swing back of it; it is impossible to create the necessary momentum. She is totally stuck. The only thing I regret is that Bishop has chosen to fasten the single glove to the bottom of the pole. I think that that was unnecessary, and it diminishes the beauty of the design.
