The Menace
1-12-2015
Hello again! First of all, a point of order: the old Cocoproductions site is now officially down and off the net. We invite our few friends who still subscribed to it to subscribe anew here, to become a member of our current site: Coco Bondage Art Productions! Welcome aboard! Furthermore, there is a new short story: The Present, in New. And then now, a word from Coco.
Some time ago, I came accross the art of a guy (presumably) who goes by the name of Kiff57krocker, which I liked a lot, and which brought back really ancient memories for me.
He takes welknown cartoon personalities, like for instance Wilma and Betty
from the Flintstones, and puts them in bondage situations. And he is very good at it! (Find his Deviant Art page here.) He also had a hilarious run on Hank and Alice, the parents of Dennis the Menace, and it really is like Hank Ketcham himself is drawing the pages:
On top of that, he reffers to the great Bob Bishop in a few of his pieces, combining two styles at once, which I think is a great feat.
And looking at his work, like I said brought back memories. I was five, maybe six, as I found a book with Dennis the Menace cartoons, and two of them gave me tingles even at this early age, totaly not understanding why I got so excited.
One of them showed Dennis actually semi tying up his mother, running around her with a lasso, playing cowboy, and stringing her knees together. I remember Alice standing with her arms to her sides, fists clenched and fuming, her eyes closed, and repeating to herself something like: "He's a cute little boy, he's a cute little boy..."
I've been looking all over the net for that one, but without any luck, unfortunately. I have however, found the other one. This one could easily have ended up in my Embarrassment Covers, had it been made half a century later, AND by me....
