New ideas

Hello again! Like I mentioned earlier, I usually work at night, in all peace and quietness. Most of the time, I work something like six or seven hours, with stops along the way, of course. Now, working, in my case, is a many facetted thing. It consists of designing, tracing and rendering, yes, but sometimes it's just lying on my sofa, trying to think up new ideas, new subjects. Yes, the inventione... And most of the time, I will mix this all up: you're working on a detail in one piece, and all of a sudden that leads you to a new idea. Drop everything, try a sketch of the new flash. It doesn't work out, new page try again.The previous piece is already totally forgotten by now. Suspicion creeps in: haven't I done something like this before? And I'm off, rummeging through my older work...

The funny thing is that I get most of my brightest ideas in the latest hour. Nothing much gets done by then, and my mind wonders off. I get idea after idea and I write them down. But none of them ever gets on paper, sadly. Because when I get out of bed the next day, I read things like: Evil twins VB strip and Jack Nicholsen. Or: Hoase culk move look. Last time, I even made a small sketch too, but it didn't help (well, not at first, I have figured it out by now; see what you can make of it)
Did I mention I like a glas of wine while I work?
