This time there are two familiar faces in New. At least, you could have seen them before, if you have visited the Comics. It could also have been published in Tickling, but then again also in BBB; so we decided to put it in New, and sort it out later. Also, we want to take this opportunity to point out once more that: if you're having cold feet with regard to buy some of our books, you can try it out for free. Go to the Shop and purchase the book Short Comics #3, and see how you like it. Happy readings! And now, some pondering from Coco.

Lately, I've been watching an old extract concerning the work of Bob from the company RopeMarks. For decades now, Bob has been a tireless ambassador of bondage, especially of the Japanese form known as Shibari or Kinbaku, that very elaborate version rope tying. And although I've never seen him at work live, there are numerous examples of shows that he did on the web.
The scene I was looking at the other day however was a bit special: it didn't take place in a club or at some extravaganza festival, not even at his own studio in Amsterdam.

No, this all happened in a regular television studio, with a live audience, recording a program for national broadcasting. The program in question, Spuiten en Slikken (which translates roughly to: Taking a Shot and some Pills) was aimed at a young audience, for educational purposes, and it's range also included deviant sexual behavior.
Now, as always, Bob had brought a professional model, to demonstrate one of his artful bondage's, which was as entertaining as ever. But things got real interesting as a female host of the show reluctantly agreed to give it a shot (no pun intended), too. In the next shot, she returned standing between Bob and a male co-host, with full breast harness, arms box tied behind her back, completely helpless. She was obviously a little ill at ease, even more so because of the pestering of her colleague, who was teasing her mercilessly, constantly pushing and pulling her, playing with her balance. As she bravely tried to continue the interview, I considered how much more arousing this simple scene was to me, than the appearance of the professional model. Because, I think, this was no performance. The reluctance, the unfamiliarity, the embarrassment, and the public humiliation: they all played such an important role in this scene. Even though 'real' sex did not come into it, it was definitely a very sexy scene.

You can find it here:

together with some other of Bob's public performances. Also, there is one other scene dealing with the same subject matter, featuring a different host from a more or less comparable TV show called Fobiac. Although these two scenes are in Dutch, the webpage itself is in English.
