Celebrating Bishop 7

CP03-19-2016
Hello again!Every now and then, we will get a helping hand from one of our members. Like today, when somebody pointed out that there was a drawing missing from the Tickle page, which he had found in the First Album section. We checked, and it turned out that while constructing the Tickle Page, we had totally overlooked the First Albums! So we have quickly corrected that, and there are now five more drawings in the Tickle section, with thanks to our attentive member. Apart from that, there's also a new piece in New. And now, a word from Coco.

This is the cover of the first Bishop album I ever encountered, in the early 70's, in Amsterdam, in a regular bookstore (!) (I know, I've mentioned that before: I just can't get over the fact that the times have changed this much) Actually, it was his second album; I only found out about the first one later.
Of course, it hit me like a ton of bricks! First of all: it was the first time I saw his work in color. The beautiful red leotard, and all those shades of grey (pun intended). Then there was the pose itself, the 'neither up nor down' aspect of it.

But what I liked most about this work were the different forms of combining all the bondage. With various sizes of buckles, with clip-on's, and especially the way the leg sheet is being held up, with these custom made short belts with two forms of attachment!
Now, there is one rare element that I don't like in this drawing. Bishop is arguably the best artist when it comes to crotch belts. They come in such a variety, always snug and tight, broad and deeply embedded. In stead, this one seems razor sharp, as if it is really cutting her. That is my sole objection to this otherwise perfect piece of the master.
