Animation

CP07-11-2016
Hi CBAPrs! I wanted to talk a bit about the latest GIF, that came out a week ago. Now to many of you, this may not look like much, but to me it was a kind of break through. You see, up until now, all the GIF's were constructed from images from some of my old comics, or older pages which were somehow sequential. Here's an example:

Obviously, they are a bit rough in their changes; the surroundings will change, the figures themselves won't always stay in place or in focus, but I still think they're good for a little lighthearted fun.

When I started out, however, my idea was to make micro animations with new drawings and characters. Frankly, in the beginning, I tried that a couple of times and failed miserably. I couldn't get it right, and that's when I decided to put it aside and just use whatever material I could find that already existed.
But now I've decided to give it another try. This time, I've kept things real easy, not worrying about backgrounds and stuff, and not going for the most intricate animation. And I really think keeping it simple did the trick; I'm actually quite pleased with the result, and I hope that in future, you will follow my development in this little side way.
Here's a short description of how I went about this. First I did four sketches of the little damsel in distress to be, using a few lines to keep the proportions in tact.

Then I worked her out further, and lined her, for a first test.

And after that I rendered her fully and tried to bring her to life fully.

I will definitly dabble some more at this, so please keep watching!

Bye, Coco

There's a new story in New, featuring a longtime familiar character. Miss Penn is back on one of her missions! And there are two updates in New Art.
