Ten years ago, I made a drawing of an elderly lady and a young man, a college student. The lady's upper-body was trapped in a rubber inflatable, a large inescapable balloon, and the young man seemed to be on the phone.

A few weeks ago, I was visited by one of my oldest friends. We went through high school together, and he has been a critic of my drawings from the very beginning, as I started making BDSM drawings. (Although at first he really wasn't into the subject, over the years it kind of grew on him, I think)

08-20-2018 Hello everyone! You know, being an artist, I almost always work alone. And don't get me wrong: I wouldn't have it any other way. What I do like to do though, is read or listen to interviews with other artists. In a way, that makes me feel that I have colleagues, company. It is nice to hear that everybody is struggling with their own problems and coming to solutions, which sometimes I would never have thought of. Or how everybody has things that you always forget and have to learn time and time again. Like that artist that said that after thirty years of drawing people, he still had to check his own feet every time, to find out which ankle was lowest: the inner or the outer one.

08-06-2018 Hello everyone! As you may know, I am a member of Deviant Art. One of the things I like most about that is the way in which you will get inspired by the work of others. And the funny thing about inspiration is: these others can be seasoned artists, making the most beautiful works, or total beginners, whose execution might still be a little off, but who offer great ideas nevertheless. I have both experiences on a regular basis, and that's what makes this site so great.
