Completed after twelve years

Hello again! In the latest editorial, I mentioned how I like to re-visit persons and situations from my older work, in an effort to make the my work as a whole more coherent. The new piece in New is an example of that. It is a continuation of a series of three which I made twelve years ago, in 2005. It features a lady who was beset by two boys who put her in a strappado, bending her over and then continue to hoist one of her legs up, leaving her up on the tippy toes of her one free leg.
This new drawing shows the completion of her bondage, with her ending up left behind in total suspension.

Hello everyone! A little word or two about the latest update in New. You see, the way I work, a drawing almost never goes from a pencilled concept to a completed work in a straight line. That's because I work in different phases, in different states of mind, so you will. This doesn't mean that the proces is fast: there's always a lot of erasing involved, a lot of re-drawing and starting all over again, but it will come to life in its most satisfieing form as quick as possible, that's what I mean. But then, when the idea has actually taken shape, I seldom feel the urge to make it into a thight inkt line drawing straight away. Most likely, because of my inspired state, I will have two or three other ideas which I want to realize.
